Dermaroller Aftercare Instructions
Immediately after your Genuine Dermaroller Therapy you will look as though you have moderate sunburn and your skin may feel warm and tighter than usual. This will start to subside after 2 to 3 hours and will normally recover within 24 hours, with only slight redness the following day. Occaisionally this redness can persist for 3 - 4 days.
To assist your skin in its recovery please follow the recommendations below: 
- Your botonics Dermaroller practitioner may well apply Chiroxy Cream after the procedure to help soothe and calm the skin. Continue to use as and when required until the redness has cleared.
- Use tepid water to cleanse the face for the following 48 hours and dry gently. Always make sure your hands are clean when touching the treated area.
- It is recommended that make up (unless your botonics Dermaroller practitioner recommends a specialist mineral make-up or camouflage) is not applied for 12 hours after the therapy and to avoid other aggressive skin products until the redness has subsided.
- Avoid saunas, steam rooms, excessive exercise, hot baths or showers until the redness has done.
- Avoid intensive sun light exposure and artificial UV exposure for a period of at least 2 weeks after your therapy. Use a broad spectrum UBA/UVB sun protectant with an SPF50 on a daily basis during this period. botonics recommend Heliocare Cream or Gel. You will benefit from continuing to apply this on a daily basis for at least two weeks even during the winter or on cloudy days.
In the days following your Genuine Dermaroller Therapy as the skin starts to regenerate and repair it may well feel drier than normal. A good anti-ageing moisturiser will help during this period.
 Ask your practitioner for specific skincare advice as a good skincare regime can help the Genuine Dermaroller skin regeneration and scar repair process.
In the following weeks, the skin texture and tone may well improve as new skin cells are generated and blood supply is enhanced. Skin tightening and the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles require new collagen to form, mature and remodel. This take at least 6 weeks and continue for 6 months or more, providing a natural and long lasting enhancement.
Remember that a course of 3 or more Dermaroller treatments is normally recommended for optimum improvement with periodical Dermaroller therapy treatments in the following years to 'top up' the natural regeneration that has taken place.
