Cheek augmentation is a very popular procedure amongst all age groups. Not only amongst women but also amongst men. For very different reasons, people have cheek augmentations because sometimes they want their cheek bones to appear much higher, they want a more feline look.
Some people want a more rounded, plumper cheek. Sometimes people have volume loss and actually their cheek atrophies over time, the fats disappeared or maybe they’ve lost weight and just need to replace that volume.
What you want is volume in the cheek area. If you look in the mirror while I show you this, when I lift this area… Give me a really big smile. Ok. And, stop smiling; if you see, when I lift the cheek up here, you get that nice apple. Can you see what that does for your face when we lift that?
Doing a cheek enhancement takes roughly about 20 to 25 minutes. It’s a relatively simple procedure depending on what it is you’re after of course. I wouldn’t recommend that you pop in in your lunch break. I would say probably come in on your day off or maybe in the evening after work and see me so you’ve got a little bit of time to allow some of your swelling to subside.
You may have a tiny bit of swelling that’s actually not very noticeable to most people or you might have a little bit more. Swelling is a very individualised response so it’s never really easy to predict how much you may have. But it is very good to allow yourself just a little bit of time to recover before you go facing people straight away.
You can see that you get improvement here, you get improvement in this whole area, and if you can imagine this area much fuller, you’ll have a much more youthful and rejuvenated look. And also the skin will be smoother because we will have filled that skin and taken up some of the room under there.
Once you’ve had a cheek enhancement, you would need to maintain it somewhere between 8 and 10 months it you don’t want to let it go back to zero. However, an actual cheek enhancement itself left not topped up would probably last you about a year and a half because the product that we use is significantly stronger than what we’d use in other areas of the face.
