Facial feature feminisation – this is a favourite area of mine. It’s an area that I specialise in. We treat people who are transgender, transsexual who need help with feminising their features and to help them make that transition.
“All those years ago when I was searching for forward, I was browsing the internet and I was very conscious of not wanting to go to anyone too low in the market. So I was quite fussy about who I went with.”
Non-surgical treatments within the transgender, transsexual feminisation process are very important. They can achieve lots of things for you that surgery can’t achieve and work very well in conjunction with surgery. So you wouldn’t necessarily choose one over the other you’ll probably find you’ll have a little bit of both to help you through your journey to get to where you want to get to.
“The actual treatment has been completely successful as far as I’m concerned because what I liked about what you suggested was to do a gradual improvement over a period of time. Which actually suited me rather than having something drastic. Do you know what I mean? So yes, I’m quite happy.”
It is a combination therapy. Once we’ve achieved your desired look, which would probably be achieved with several different treatments, then you would go into a mode of maintenance and probably come in to see me every 3 to 4 months to maintain some of your treatments and other treatments would probably only need maintenance once a year.
“It’s not overly painful and it doesn’t have a massive affect on you when you come out like the next day and you go into work or anything which people worry about. Because a lot of people actually live two lives and so it benefits them to not have anything drastic done so that no one can tell and they’re able to come out in their own time. It’s a major benefit the way you do it. Definitely.
It’s such an individual process. It’s also a very emotional journey. Very often this is something that the individual has wanted for a long time. They’ve given it immense and considerable amount of thought and really need someone who fully understands these procedures very well to help them along the way and really guide them through the process and recommend what is actually best for them to help them achieve their goals.
