

Mr Riaz Agha is a leading Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon, widely recognised clinical excellence and patient care.
Graduating from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical School with distinction and twenty-five academic prizes, Mr Agha completed his elite higher surgical training within the prestigious London Deanery. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (D.Phil) from the University of Oxford, where his research focused on improving standards in Plastic Surgery research.
As a visionary leader in his field, Mr Agha is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Surgery (IJS) Publishing Group, a high-impact global publishing group. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed scientific papers, delivered numerous international lectures, and serves on the council of the Section of Plastic Surgery at the Royal Society of Medicine as President-elect. His pioneering work includes leading the development of international consensus guidelines (such as the SCARE and STROCSS statements) which are utilised globally to elevate the safety and transparency of surgical research.
